Statement Event

Statement Event, for women in financial media, is typically an in person event hosted in New York City by Stefanie O’Connell and Emma Pattee. These two women bring together women in the media and personal finance space to create a community exclusively for women, by womxn. 

I worked alongside Statement Event in 2019 to design the website, event promotional materials, and day of print materials. In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, I provided thorough research for executing and maintaining an online-only event, pre-event content management, day of social media content management, engagement management, and social support, postmortem support, and a full analytical report covering a five-day outlook for their event sponsors, Capital Group.

In between events I help to establish sponsorship deck outlines, updates, re-designs, and completion of other important business development decks, and as-needed website updates or modifications.

Social Media Event Management

Day of Statement Event 2020 I arranged an eight hour social media management window in which I was solely responsible for posting, engaging with attendees, tracking analytics, re-sharing content from event speakers, and helping to provide contest entries to client to select prize winner. 

Post-event I put together an extensive analysis for the client’s sponsor to review regarding reach, number of impressions, best performing content, how specific data points and facts were received by attendees, and the level of engagement and feedback attendees provided on social emdia.

Brand Design

Statement Event’s brand aesthetic is chic and modern. Transforming over time as trends and fresh developments in feminist temperament evolve.

Contextually, Statement Event focuses on bringing the cold, hard truth out in financial journalism and the quotes, subjects selected for events, and brand design reflect this informational perspective on money and media.
